The water castle in Hinte was built in 1438 on the remains of the Osterburg. Its character as an East Frisian chieftain's castle has been preserved to this day. Together with the church in Hinte, it forms a wonderful ensemble.

Die Wasserburg in Hinte wurde auf den Überresten der Osterburg im Jahre 1438 erbaut. Ihr Charakter einer ostfriesischen Häuptlingsburg ist bis heute erhalten geblieben. Zusammen mit der Kirche in Hinte bildet sie ein wunderbares Ensemble.
