    Carving
In the Jakobikirche in Lübeck (Old Town Island), there are some church pews with fold-up seats. Curious as I am, I folded up a seat and found this carved head. The staff in the church were not aware of these carvings until then, as the seats are usually folded down. The Jakobikirche has always been the church of sailors and at the same time a museum for the remains of the former four-masted ship "Pamir." Not far away lies the intact sister ship "Passat" in Lübeck-Travemünde.

As beautiful as it looks: everything is just a facade, including the windows! And unfortunately, it's not 100% symmetrical...
