This is the distinctive viewing pavilion on the Wirtsberg in Landwüst, a district of Markneukirchen.
Due to its unusual, pointed roof shape, the building is often colloquially referred to as the "lemon squeezer."
The pavilion serves as a viewpoint and weather shelter on the 664-meter-high mountain and offers a wide panoramic view over the Vogtland region all the way to the Czech Republic.
The structure stands on the site of a historic triangulation point that was formerly used for land surveying.
