The three-axle branch line locomotive was fast enough for passenger trains at the time of its design with a top speed of 65 km/h. It proved to be excellent, as reflected in the production of over 2000 units. Our 91 896 was used by the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft and later the Deutsche Reichsbahn in the GDR at the harbor railway in Torgau. It operated there until the 1970s and was thus the last operational T9.3. Later, it was placed as a monument locomotive in front of the RAW Dresden-Friedrichstadt, from where it was transported by low-loader to the Saxon Railway Museum Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf in August 2009.

Sächsisches Eisenbahnmuseum e.V. Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf Diese Lok stammt vom Typ der preußischen T9.3. Die dreiachsige Nebenbahnlokomotive war mit einer Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 65 km/h zum Zeitpunkt ihrer Konstruktion auch für Personenzüge schnell genug. Sie bewährte sich prächtig, was sich auch in der gebauten Stückzahl von über 2000 Exemplaren niederschlägt. Unser 91 896 war nach ihrem Einsatz bei der Deutschen Reichsbahngesellschaft und später der Deutschen Reichsbahn in der DDR bei der Hafenbahn in Torgau im Einsatz. Dort fuhr sie bis in die 1970er Jahre und war somit die letzte betriebsfähige T9.3. Später gelangte Sie als Denkmallok vor das RAW Dresden-Friedrichstadt von wo sie im August 2009 per Tieflader ins Sächsische Eisenbahnmuseum Chemnitz-Hilbesdorf transpotiert wurde.
