Wörtlich: „Ehemann-Ehefrau-Felsen“
Die beiden Felsen sind durch ein Shimenawa-Seil verbunden und gelten für den benachbarten Okitama-Schrein, in dem die Nahrungsgöttin Miketsu verehrt wird, als Heiligtümer. In der Shintō-Mythologie repräsentieren sie die Verbindung der Kami Izanagi und Izanami, im weiteren Sinne stehen sie somit auch für die Ehe von Mann und Frau. Das über eine Tonne wiegende Seil muss mehrmals pro Jahr in einer speziellen Zeremonie ersetzt werden. Der größere Felsen, der männlich sein soll, hat ein kleines Torii auf seiner Spitze. Bei Ebbe sind die beiden Felsen nicht durch Wasser voneinander getrennt.
Die Felsen und der Okitama-Schrein befinden sich nahe dem Großen Schrein von Ise, dem höchsten Heiligtum im Schrein-Shintō.

Electromobility in a different way
A few years ago, I had the chance to photograph a prototype from a small series manufacturer. Since the NDAs have now expired and the prototype has been released, I can finally show the photos. It is an offroad vehicle with absurd performance figures. 500 HP, 5000 (!) Nm of torque. 0-100 km/h in under 3 seconds (otherwise it would do a wheelie), range of 550 km... Unfortunately, it has not yet been produced in series. It was supposed to cost under 40k€. With street approval...

Elektromobilität mal anders
Vor einigen Jahren durfte ich mal einen Prototypen eines Kleinserienherstellers ablichten. Da die NDAs mittlerweile ausgelaufen sind und der Prototyp veröffentlicht wurde, kann ich nun auch mal die Fotos zeigen. Es handelt sich um ein Offraod Fahrzeug mit absurden Leistungswerten. 500 PS, 5000 (!) NM Drehmoment. 0-100 unter 3s (weil sonst Wheelie), Reichweite 550 km... Wurde leider noch nicht in Serie gebaut. Sollte unter 40k€ kosten. Mit Strassenzulassung...

Finding a picture for the daily theme video game is pretty easy for me. A buddy has an interactive pinball and video game museum (The Pinball Lounge Oppenheim) where I like to hang out. Sometimes I also have the camera with me... You pay an entrance fee and can then play on all the machines as much as you want.

Für das Tagesthema Videospiel ein Bild rauszusuchen ist ziemlich einfach für mich. Ein Kumpel hat ein interaktives Flipper- und Videospielmuseum (The Pinball Lounge Oppenheim) in dem ich gerne bin. Manchmal hab ich auch dei Kamera dabei... Da zahlt man Eintritt und kann dann an allen Geräten spielen so viel man will.

Occasionally, I also photograph weddings, but alongside the usual glamour shots, I instinctively look for the moments and subjects of street photography that I usually prefer. I couldn't resist this "Fan Ho" inspired moment.

Gelegentlich fotografiere ich auch Hochzeiten, aber neben den üblichen Glamourshots suche ich trotzdem auch instinktiv nach den Momenten und Motiven der Streetfotografie die ich sonst bevorzuge. Diesem "Fan Ho" inspirierten Moment konnte ich nicht widerstehen.

Neben meinen Menschen- und Fahrzeugporträts fotografiere ich manchmal auch im Urlaub ein wenig. Dabei entstehen dann manchmal Bilder, die es nicht nur in den WhatsApp Status, sondern auch in den Ordner für Bildschirmhintergründe passen. So wie dieses hier.

Painterly Portrait
Since I am fascinated by Renaissance portraits (Caravaggio, Velasquez...) and really like chiaroscuro, I prefer to shoot like that in the studio. Since vehicle photos are somewhat overrepresented in my gallery here, I wanted to create some variety and show more human portraits...

Wenn nach Sonnenuntergang an der Rennstrecke Ruhe einkehrt geht für mich der eigentliche Spaß erst los... Nachdem ich jeweils tagsüber die Erlaubnis eingeholt und die Zeiten abgestimmt habe, bin ich Nachts in den Boxen unterwegs und lichte die Autos in Ruhe ab. Schlaf ist völlig überbewertet...
