Notification Sound

You might have already noticed: there’s now a notification sound. It’s important that new alerts don’t get missed. But it shouldn’t interrupt you when you’re focused on viewing photos or calmly browsing through the Photoclub. That’s why the sound is intentionally subtle—no annoying beeps or intrusive alarms, just a gentle little ping to let you know there’s something new for you.

Why we added the sound now

Many of us know the feeling: you upload a photo, read comments, or are deep in thought about your next crop—and a notification can easily go unnoticed. The new sound helps you catch these alerts more reliably without disturbing your peace. This way, Photoclub remains a relaxed place where you enjoy spending time and never miss anything important.

Photography requires focus, not distractions

Of course, it’s all about what feels right for you. If you prefer to work in complete silence, you can easily turn off the sound anytime. After all, photography thrives on focus—not distractions. The easiest way to mute sounds temporarily is directly in your browser tab: right-click the tab → “Mute site.” Alternatively, you can mute the site permanently in your browser’s site settings.
