Until now, Photoclub played notification sounds for new reactions, comments, friend requests, and messages at a fixed volume. From now on, you can decide whether these alerts should be clearly audible, subtle, or completely silent.
You'll find a new slider under labeled Notification Sound Volume. It can be adjusted smoothly from 0 to 100 percent. At 0 percent, the sounds are completely muted, but you'll still receive the notifications themselves.
Listen to the selected volume immediately
When you release the slider, the notification sound will play once at the chosen volume. This way, you can instantly hear if the setting works for you and adjust it further if needed.
This volume setting applies to all sounds on the site. There is no separate volume control for different types of notifications.
Please note that this volume control only works within the limits of your device’s overall volume settings. So if your computer is set to a low volume, you won’t be able to increase the Photoclub volume beyond that.
Consistent across all devices
Your chosen volume is saved in your profile. This means it applies across all browsers and devices where you use Photoclub.
The default remains at 100 percent. So if you like the previous sound at full volume, you don’t need to change anything.
