Gallery improved

The new LightBox instantly displays all photos on a page in full view without any loading time. Thanks to a preloading mechanism, you can comfortably flip through the images on a page without delays. Anyone who has ever flipped through a photo book page by page knows: this is exactly how enjoying photos should feel. Click on a thumbnail, and it opens in the LightBox. Click on the title, and it opens in the detailed view.

Less clicking, more viewing

You navigate with arrow keys or swipe gestures just like flipping through a photo book, zoom using keyboard, mouse, or touch, and stay fully focused on the image. No loading pauses, no detours. It doesn’t feel like technology — it feels like photography.

Your thoughts stay with the image

Comments open right next to the photo. Your attention stays where it belongs while you comment. This makes feedback more honest, calm, and helpful. Those who comment this way look more closely. Those who receive feedback feel genuine interest. This elevates the exchange in the Photoclub to a pleasantly focused level — completely free of distracting noise.

Browse or dive deeper? You decide

In the gallery thumbnails, you can browse broadly. In the LightBox, you can browse more closely. In the detailed view, you dive deep into a single photo. There you’ll find all the information about the image. One click is all it takes to switch perspectives — with zero loading time. Photoclub gives you the freedom to use it in whatever way suits your style.

Looking ahead

The LightBox is optimized for speed with no loading times, so the info shown there is limited. Your feedback will guide us on which information and features to add or remove in future LightBox updates.
