User - Meetings or Workshops in the MG, KR, D, K, or Ruhr Area

A question and a suggestion.
Would there be interest in meetups or workshops on various topics?
Personally, I would be happy to offer and organize small workshops on all topics related to People. At the same time, I’d love to be guided in areas like Landscape, Architecture, or Street photography, as those are fields I’m interested in but have little experience with.
Based on my experience running previous workshops, the groups should be small and manageable.
If anyone is interested, I’d appreciate hearing from you.

Sorry, I almost forgot... of course, this would only be possible if the COVID situation allows and we can follow the current regulations.

Best regards, Dirk

Would there be any cost involved?

@Sabrina Westermann
Hi Sabrina, no, I hadn’t planned that. At least, that was my idea—just for the love of photography.
Anything we can do outdoors would naturally be free of charge, except for your own travel expenses. 😉
If it’s an indoor shoot, we could split the studio or location costs. That would be my suggestion.
Whoever leads the workshop should do it without any financial motives, in my opinion.
Best, Dirk

@Dirk Peschen Hello Dirk,
I’m very interested in a workshop.
Landscape photography is my top priority.
I still have a few questions about it. But I’m also looking forward to meeting like-minded people, having some good technical discussions, and getting to know some new, friendly faces—that would be a lot of fun. I’d be excited if something like this could come together.
Best regards from Münsterland, Bernd

Definitely interesting in general. For me, though, it really depends a lot on the when and where.

@Saint Paul Where does it say that above? 😉 ...but that could also be done very flexibly, depending on whether it’s a meeting or a workshop.
When? I assume a weekend would work best for most people in the club. At least, that’s true for me.

@Bernd Tiemann I'd be happy to. I think it would be great if members with different photography specialties could come together.
Let's wait and see how many people are interested. I'm really looking forward to it.

Since the response has been quite limited for various reasons, it looks like the meeting or workshop won’t be happening. It’s a bit of a shame.
Maybe at a later date.

@Dirk Peschen Too bad, Dirk, I would have really enjoyed it.
Maybe we could still meet up sometime and take photos together.
Cheers, Bernd

@Bernd Tiemann Hi Bernd, I'd be happy to. I actually made a similar suggestion in the forum that leans towards a "contact exchange / bulletin board" concept.

I'm generally interested in things like this, though I’m located way down in the far south of Germany, so a bit off the beaten path. But if it works out, I’m definitely up for it.

I’m happy to go for a nice photo walk and don’t mind driving a bit. We can also meet halfway or somewhere else if I’m not as swamped with work as I am right now 😉

If my schedule allows, I’m happy to join meetings and workshops. At the moment, I’m still working full-time... but starting from 02/23, I’ll have a lot more free time 😉
