Hello, I’m older, but in here, I’m as good as new.

I’m a retiree from northern Germany who has been photographing for over 50 years. I’ve experienced just about everything—from darkroom work, photograms, and cyanotypes to Lightroom and Photoshop, or at least followed all those developments closely. If you want to know more about me, you can find my photos and resume at www.foerster-preetz.de (no need to copy everything here).
After trying out several forums and communities over the past few years and leaving each one feeling frustrated, I’m using the Corona lockdown as an opportunity to give it another shot. I’m genuinely interested in honest criticism and feedback on my photos as a foundation for growth. I’ve decided to be equally open and straightforward with both criticism and praise. Let’s see how it goes.

Well then, good luck here, and feel free to let loose with your criticism—because that's the only way to grow, if you're willing to 😉

Welcome to the club..
I haven’t been doing this for very long, but I’m kind of an old hand. The enthusiasm for comments here is definitely appreciated. Unfortunately, you can also see that hardly anyone, or very few, respond to criticism. In rare cases, a picture is re-uploaded after some critique has been addressed. But there are exceptions. I’m open to everything— I like praise, but I prefer it over criticism 😁

So, a warm welcome from me as well to the forum. Unlike you, I’m a newbie when it comes to photography, but I’m always eager to improve. That’s exactly why I value honest feedback and tend to leave genuine comments rather than just piling on praise—because that doesn’t help anyone.
