        #Portrait in Shepard Fairey Style
Shepard Fairey is an artist who creates artwork by reducing a portrait to four or five colors. Fairey gained greater recognition during the 2008 US presidential campaign with his iconic "HOPE" poster for Barack Obama. It is part of a poster series that Fairey initially designed independently for the Obama campaign. The poster, styled in the national colors red, blue, and white and reminiscent of Pop Art, quickly became the most famous image of the Obama campaign. It was acquired by the Smithsonian Institution during Obama's inauguration and is displayed in the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. I was so fascinated by the image that I took a portrait of someone I know and tried to emulate his style. Feel free to give me feedback on whether you like it.

        Available Light Fotografie

        Sky Pagoda
The Himmelspagode is a building in the Brandenburg town of Hohen Neuendorf near Berlin, constructed in the style of a round Chinese pagoda. Completed in 2002, the project was realized by the Chinese client Wengui Ye and the architect Christian Rehbock, who lives in Hohen Neuendorf. Until October 12, 2025, it housed a Chinese restaurant, which was the largest restaurant in Hohen Neuendorf. Many elements of the Himmelspagode are in the preferred colors of the Chinese emperors. For example, the pagoda's roof is covered with golden tiles, a color exclusively reserved for the emperor. The doors and windows are painted in the Chinese lucky color green. The white railings with lion figures were originally meant to symbolize the emperor’s pure conscience toward his people and reflect his openness. The red pillars promise good fortune for the inhabitants according to Chinese tradition. Two lions stand in front of the entrance portal, symbolizing luck and prosperity in China. Inside the dining room is a Buddha figure painted in gold. Source: Wikipedia

        My favorite green plant
The Physalis is found in Europe almost exclusively as the Chinese lantern plant (Physalis alkekengi). What stands out most are the fruits, which are completely enclosed by an enlarging, lantern-shaped calyx. Some species of Physalis are cultivated as fruit and vegetable plants or used for decorative purposes. I was fascinated by the colors this plant reveals when light streams through the leaves.

        #Silence #Father
I always enjoy working on photo projects with people. This project produced my favorite photo for the year 2025. The task was to shoot a very natural portrait. At the same time, the themes of "silence" and "transience" were to be included. So I chose the style of Martin Schoeller. He positions the "strip lights" directly to the right and left beside the photographer. The photo is taken exactly at eye level. All together, this creates the great "cat eye effect."

A cyclist on a tour along the beach in southern France was moving so fast that he was there and gone again in no time. The colors of the background blew me away...
