Grass Track Racing 2008
Compared to my photo (Grass Track Racing 1973), the difference is clearly visible. The machines are high-performance racers.
Everything is plastered with advertisements.
Fortunately, you can't get your hands caught in the wheels. And top stars can easily earn over €100,000.
Here in first place is European Champion William Matthijssen with his sister Nathalie.
Yes, women are welcome as passengers. They are simply lighter. Female drivers are very rare because it takes a lot of strength to keep the sidecar on the track.

Im Vergleich zu meinem Foto (Grasbahnrennen 1973) ist der Unterschied deutlich zu sehen. Die Maschinen sind Hochleistungsrenner.
Alles ist mit Werbung zugekleistert.
Zum Glück kann man mit den Händen nicht in die Räder fassen. Und Top-Stars können durchaus über 100 000 € verdienen.

Passenger train tank locomotives - BR 78
With the T 18 series (later series 78), the development of passenger train tank locomotives in Prussia was completed. The power, axle load, and top speed of the new series were intended to roughly match those of the Prussian passenger locomotive P 8 (later series 38.10). Since the concept proved to be exceptionally successful, a total of 534 units of the T 18 series were built between 1912 and 1927.
The locomotives were assigned operating numbers 78 001 to 78 528 by the Reichsbahn. Numbers 78 331 to 78 350 were not assigned.

Leistung, Achslast und Höchstgeschwindigkeit der neuen Baureihe sollten in etwa der preußischen Personenzuglokomotive P 8 (spätere Baureihe 38.10) entsprechen. Da sich das Konzept außerordentlich gut bewährte, wurden im Zeitraum von 1912 bis 1927 insgesamt 534 Exemplare der Baureihe T 18 gebaut.

Jersey - Corbiere Lighthouse
2014 Jersey
The lighthouse is not open to visitors, but at low tide you can walk across the causeway and explore a small part of the rocks on which it stands.
However, pay attention to the warning signs and the warning siren in case it sounds.
From the paths beside the road, there is still a fantastic view of the lighthouse, the coast, and the World War II defense installations.
You can reach this place by car or by the Liberty Bus.
