Many things in Italy can certainly be criticized or perhaps even rejected. But in the ability to design buildings, interiors, and fashion elegantly and attractively, Italy belongs to the premium class.
Hotel in Florence, guest lobby. The picture shows a small section of it. The floors made of artistically laid marble, the playful sofa with the printed cushions, and the arrangement of the wonderful window front with a view into the green courtyard appear very harmonious to me. This is pure living (feeling) culture!
One does not even dare to sit on the sofa. Although – that is exactly what it is meant for. What makes Italy so different that we look admiringly to the south …?

Hotel in Florenz, Gästelobby.
