We are walking through downtown Glasgow to see the usual sights. Among them is the equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington. Its reputation precedes it. When I see the statue from afar, I am quite amazed. But then I just have to laugh. A traffic cone was placed on the heads of both the Duke and the horse, and the Duke was also wearing a pink bear mask. On his lap, there was a sign that read: "The pink bear." Very quirky.

Darunter ist auch die Reiterstatue des Duke of Wellington. Der Ruf eilt ihr voraus. Als ich die Statue schon von weitem sehe staune ich nicht schlecht. Aber dann muss ich einfach nur lachen. Auf den Kopf vom Duke und dem Pferd wurde jeweils ein Verkehrskegel gesetzt und zudem trug der Duke eine pinkfarbene Bärenmaske. Auf dem Schoß wurde noch ein Schild plaziert mit der Aufschrift: „The pink bear“ ( Der pink-farbene Bär). Sehr skuril.
