Over and over again, I like to come to this spot. Here I met a responsible gentleman from the Hessian Nature Conservation, who maintains the hut and the lake where I take many of my photos. He also informed me that this is a young bird. From the shelter of the hut, you can get very close to the kingfisher. I’ve mentioned before, there are only four holes through which you can aim your lens at the subjects. It hardly gets any closer than that. The kingfisher did come even closer, but it was below my lens’s minimum focusing distance. I was able to take some beautiful photos of this jewel that day.Over and over again, I like to come to this spot.
