Among the countless Kaisermantel butterflies I found, there was also busy work for the future. Time and again, one saw how individual butterflies were harassed by others and then one also saw why. What I found very interesting was what I call "the wedding flight"... when both flew around, the male circled the female. Durch die Beobachtungen lernte ich dann auch viel über ihr verhalten. Denn ich habe einen Raw Burst Modus doch der wird in einer separaten Datei gespeichert ist mühsam zu entpacken und das abspeichern auf der SD geht mir zu lange. Und so musste meine Reaktionszeit einige mal voll ausnutzen, um auch an Flugbilder zu kommen.
Was ich sehr interessant fand war wie ich es nenne «den Hochzeitsflug»….wenn beide herumflogen so umrundete das Männchen das Weibchen. Indem es oben über sie durch flog und sich unten zurückfallen liess und das in einer beeindruckenden Geschwindigkeit immer und immer wieder.
Beobachtungen des Verhaltens der Tiere, helfen auch hier den richtigen Moment zu erwischen, mal andere Bilder zu bekommen und es ist so was von faszinierend…….ja da stand ich im Wald beim zweiten Mal ganz allen für mich und wieder mit gut 100 Kaisermantel…
