      The patient cricket
With my EOS RP one can do focus bracketing with living insects, but the insect must keep still. After several attempts, can on and can off, it was paralyzed with fright. It still moved its antennae a little. In the end I was very satisfied and let it go on its way again.

        Structures in the Desert Sand
I entered the desert section on Fuertaventura shortly after sunrise to capture a scene with the strong shadows of the grooves and furrows. It was still very cold and I had not eaten breakfast yet - but I forgot all of that because I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the desert.

The vertical metal bars on the open side cast razor-sharp, parallel shadows on the floor and the seating surfaces. This creates a precise stripe pattern that rhythmically divides the entire space. The shadows are so hard that they appear like graphic lines – almost drawn with a ruler. On the round blue seating pedestal, the stripes lay over the curve, creating an overlay of circular shape and linear grid. This makes the scene visually particularly exciting: The architecture itself is simple, but the light transforms it into a play of shapes, contrasts, and repetitions. more Less

            To Aichu and Spilu

On a poster in front of it says "Zum Aichu und Spilu" and wants to express that work was done here and butter (Anke, Aichu) was produced and also a place of play for children was (Spilu). In many Wallis hamlets, barns and granaries were multipurpose places: milk processing, storage, meeting point, playground. The poster probably winks at this dual function – perhaps as part of a local cultural trail or a historical signposting. Maybe there are Swiss among you who can confirm or deny this. more Less

View from the Village in the Sky
The view goes over the district Amrigschwand of the 11-village spa town Höchenschwand across the Swiss Jura over to the Swiss Alps. The chimney in the middle belonged to our house.

Waiting in the Rhythm of the Sea
The people stand on the narrow pier and wait patiently for the ferry that will take them back to Corralejo. While the minutes pass, the surf strikes the rocks with full force, throws water fountains into the air, and transforms the moment into a lively spectacle of light, movement, and sound. The scenery combines the calm of waiting with the energy of the sea – a short stop that becomes a special experience through the play of the waves. more Less

In front run strong, red lacquered pipes that emphasize the functional character of the former industrial complex. The combination of historic masonry and technical infrastructure shows the typical aesthetic of the World Heritage Site: rough, precise and at the same time surprisingly photogenic. A place where industrial history, architecture and a good plate of currywurst with fries effortlessly combine. more Less

Summer trip over the Great Saint Bernard

In front of the backdrop of steep, snow-covered slopes, the hospice of the Great Saint Bernard stands like a firm point of orientation in the vastness. The surface of the lake appears hard and closed, only the small stone island with the cross sets a striking accent in the bright area. Above it stretches a clear sky, whose blue highlights the cool scenery even more clearly. The surprise of encountering a completely frozen body of water in the middle of a summer motorcycle tour is reflected in the almost unreal atmosphere of the moment. more Less

              Überflug des Säntis
A Swiss friend spontaneously took me on a round flight from Zurich, over Lake Lucerne, over the Southern Black Forest to Lake Constance, and finally past the Säntis and the Churfürsten back to the small grass-covered airfield near Zurich.
