The patient cricket
With my EOS RP one can do focus bracketing with living insects, but the insect must keep still. After several attempts, can on and can off, it was paralyzed with fright. It still moved its antennae a little. In the end I was very satisfied and let it go on its way again.

Die geduldige Grille
Mit meiner EOS RP kann man Focus-Bracketing mit lebendigen Insekten machen, aber das Insekt muss stillhalten. Nach mehreren Versuchen, Dose drauf und Dose runter, war sie vor Schreck wie gelähmt. Ein bisschen hat sie noch mit den Fühlern gewackelt. Structures in the Desert Sand
I entered the desert section on Fuertaventura shortly after sunrise to capture a scene with the strong shadows of the grooves and furrows. It was still very cold and I had not eaten breakfast yet - but I forgot all of that because I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the desert.

Ich habe kurz nach dem Sonnenaufgang den Wüstenabschnitt auf Fuertaventura betreten, um eine Szenerie mit den kräftigen Schatten der Rillen und Furchen einzufangen. Es war noch sehr kalt und gefrühstück hatte ich auch noch nicht - das alles habe ich aber vergessen, weil ich von der Schönheit der Wü…Ich habe kurz nach dem Sonnenaufgang den Wüstenabschnitt auf Fuertaventura betreten, um eine Szenerie mit den kräftigen Schatten der Rillen und Furchen einzufangen. On the round blue seating pedestal, the stripes lay over the curve, creating an overlay of circular shape and linear grid. Die senkrechten Metallstreben an der offenen Seite werfen messerscharfe, parallel verlaufende Schatten auf den Boden und die Sitzflächen. Dadurch entsteht ein präzises Stre…Das Wartehäuschen für den Linienbus in einer spanischen Küstenstadt wirkt wie ein geometrischer Raum aus Licht und Dunkelheit. Die senkrechten Metallstreben an der offenen Seite werfen messerscharfe, parallel verlaufende Schatten auf den Boden und die Sitzflächen. Dadurch entsteht ein präzises Streifenmuster, das den gesamten Raum rhythmisch gliedert. Die Schatten sind so hart, dass sie wie grafische Linien erscheinen – fast wie mit Lineal gezogen. Auf dem runden blauen Sitzpodest legen sich die Streifen über die Rundung, wodurch eine Überlagerung aus Kreisform und linearem Raster entsteht. Das macht die Szene visuell besonders spannend: Die Architektur selbst ist schlicht, aber das Licht verwandelt sie in ein Spiel aus Formen, Kontrasten und Wiederholungen. more Less

On a poster in front of it says "Zum Aichu und Spilu" and wants to express that work was done here and butter (Anke, Aichu) was produced and also a place of play for children was (Spilu). In many Wallis hamlets, barns and granaries were multipur…This old barn with its heavy beams I found in Wallis. On a poster in front of it says "Zum Aichu und Spilu" and wants to express that work was done here and butter (Anke, Aichu) was produced and also a place of play for children was (Spilu). In many Wallis hamlets, barns and granaries were multipurpose places: milk processing, storage, meeting point, playground. The poster probably winks at this dual function – perhaps as part of a local cultural trail or a historical signposting. Maybe there are Swiss among you who can confirm or deny this. more Less

Auf einem Plakat davor steht '"Zum Aichu und Spilu" und will ausdrücken, dass hier gearbeitet und Butter (Anke, Aichu) hergestellt wurde und ebenso ein Ort des Spiels für Kinder war (Spilu). In vielen Walliser Weilern …Diese alte Scheune mit seinem schweren Gebälk fand ich im Wallis. Auf einem Plakat davor steht '"Zum Aichu und Spilu" und will ausdrücken, dass hier gearbeitet und Butter (Anke, Aichu) hergestellt wurde und ebenso ein Ort des Spiels für Kinder war (Spilu). In vielen Walliser Weilern waren Scheunen und Speicher Mehrzweckorte: Milchverarbeitung, Lagerung, Treffpunkt, Spielplatz. Das Plakat dürfte diese Doppelfunktion augenzwinkernd festhalten – vielleicht als Teil eines lokalen Kulturpfads oder einer historischen Beschilderung. Vor der Kulisse steiler, schneebedeckter Flanken steht das Hospiz des Großen Sankt Bernhard wie ein fester Orientierungspunkt in der Weite. Die Oberfläche des Sees wirkt har…Der zugefrorene See unterhalb des Passes liegt still und weiß im Hochgebirge, als hätte der Sommer hier eine Pause eingelegt. A Swiss friend spontaneously took me on a round flight from Zurich, over Lake Lucerne, over the Southern Black Forest to Lake Constance, and finally past the Säntis and the Churfürsten back to the small grass-covered airfield near Zurich.

Überflug des Säntis
Ein Schweizer Freund hat mich spontan zu einem Rundflug von Zürich, über den Vierwaldstättersee, über den Südschwarzwald zum Bodensee und zum Schluss am Säntis und den Churfürsten vorbei wieder zu dem kleine grasbewachsenen Flugplatz bei Zürich zurück.
