    Moorhen Chick
This fluffy Eurasian coot chick (Fulica atra) stands on a branch right by the water – still wobbly on its long black legs, but already full of curiosity. The orange base of the beak and the wild feather tufts on the head are typical for chicks of this species – a distinctive design of nature. Eurasian coots breed from April to July, often multiple times a year. The chicks are precocial – shortly after hatching, they already follow their parents into the water. 🌿 📷 Nikon DSLR | Natural light | Shallow water perspective
