Booster for More Visibility
Photoclub isn’t just about uploading photos—it’s about being seen. Every day, new photos, ideas, forum topics, and posts appear on the homepage. It’s lively, but sometimes a bit like a photo table at a club night: lots of great content, but not every image gets the attention it deserves. With the new boosters for Premium⁺, you can specifically highlight selected content again at the top of the homepage—for more visibility, more reactions, and more life around your best posts.    A little boost for strong content You can use a booster to spotlight a photo, idea, forum topic, or other suitable post. This makes the content appear again near the top of the homepage, giving it a new chance to be seen, commented on, and noticed. It’s perfect for special shots, important topics, or older photos that shouldn’t just get lost in the stream of new posts.   More attention, but thoughtfully To keep boosters valuable and prevent the homepage from being spammed, each Premium⁺ member gets only one booster per day. This keeps the feature curated rather than arbitrary: you decide each day which content truly deserves more attention. That’s what makes the booster powerful—it’s not a constant flood but a targeted impulse.   Where to find the booster You’ll find the booster feature wherever it makes sense: next to rating functions on photos in large view, at the end of forum topics, and in the lower sections of news and ideas. This keeps the booster a deliberate choice for selected content—not just a quick click next to every thumbnail.   Why boosters belong to Premium⁺ Premium remains the affordable membership for key benefits in Photoclub. Premium⁺ is designed for those who want to be more actively visible, get more out of their photos, and use Photoclub more intensively. The daily booster fits perfectly: it gives your content extra reach without throwing the homepage out of balance.   Start using Premium⁺ now and get noticed If you want to bring your best photos, topics, or ideas to the forefront, Premium⁺ is now even more attractive. Use your daily booster to showcase selected content exactly when it should be seen, and bring more activity to your posts. A great photo deserves attention—give it the little push it sometimes needs.

Premium just got fairer: Two packages, more choices
At Photoclub, it’s all about photography, sharing photos, constructive feedback, photo contests, and growing together—not about stubbornly sticking to an idea just because it was announced once. We tested our new premium model, analyzed the feedback, and developed a fairer solution: instead of one big price jump, there will now be two clear premium packages. In short: less heavy-handedness, more finesse—just like you’d approach a great photo.   When the data gets a say The originally announced price adjustment to €79 per year made sense economically, but the feedback and booking data clearly showed that this step was too big for many members. So instead of taking the easy route of a straightforward price hike, we’re adapting the model to better fit the actual needs and possibilities of our members.   Two packages instead of one big leap From now on, there will be Premium for €38 per year and Premium⁺ for €58 per year. Premium remains an affordable way to enjoy the key benefits of Photoclub. Premium⁺ is designed for those who want more features, greater visibility, and additional perks—perfect if you want to showcase your photos more, participate actively, and get even more out of your Photoclub membership.   Good news if you’ve already signed up If you’ve already subscribed to Premium during the transition period, you’ve locked in the best deal: you’ll automatically get Premium⁺ at the previous Premium price and keep that price as long as your membership remains active. Nothing changes to your disadvantage—in fact, you get the upgraded package at the price you already secured.   Secure your advantage now If you don’t have Premium yet, you can still take advantage of this offer for a limited time and subscribe to Premium⁺ at the previous Premium price. By doing so, you support Photoclub, gain more opportunities for your photos, and help shape the club’s future according to its members’ wishes. So act now and secure your advantage—at Photoclub, every great photo, every great person, and every good deed counts.

Photoclub International
Photography needs no translation. A great photo speaks for itself, whether someone speaks German, English, French, Spanish, Japanese, or any other language. Images communicate directly—through light, mood, emotion, and the photographer’s perspective. That’s the idea we’re taking further at Photoclub: not only should your photos have an international appeal, but so should the accompanying texts. Comments, descriptions, profiles, and messages can be automatically read in your own language. You simply write in your language—and others understand you anyway. This turns Photoclub into an international photography community without language barriers: you and your images can be seen, understood, and appreciated worldwide. And now you can connect globally without language obstacles.   Keeping What’s Familiar International doesn’t mean losing what’s familiar. If you prefer to connect with people from your own region, country, or language group, Photoclub will offer plenty of options for that too. We’re planning regional groups with their own forums, galleries, and activities. This way, you get the best of both worlds: an open international Photoclub and a place where you can feel locally connected and at home. We’re currently looking for group leaders for these local communities.   Multilingualism That Lets Your Photos Soar Your photos deserve an audience beyond borders. At Photoclub, you can write in your native language while people from around the world discover and appreciate your work. Comments, descriptions, and profiles are automatically translated—no need for English skills or annoying switching back and forth. Everything stays relaxed and authentic, while your photos shine on the international stage. We’re planning support for 12 languages!   One Photoclub, Many Languages—and Still Personal With the new multilingual features, Photoclub won’t feel like a jungle of foreign languages. You stay true to yourself and use your favorite language. A small icon lets you view the original text if you want, keeping everything transparent and trustworthy. And the best part: unlike other platforms, there are no country-specific islands or premium-only barriers. All photos are visible worldwide—free and premium members alike.   Photos Connect—Without Words Photography speaks a universal language. With our international focus, your passion becomes even more vibrant: more people, more feedback, more exchange. Whether it’s landscapes, street photography, wildlife, or travel shots—your images bring people from all over the world together, inspiring and earning recognition. A shared Photoclub that breaks down borders and puts your photos in the spotlight. Personally, I’m especially excited about connecting with Japan.   Join Now Get involved and see your photos gain international visibility—without extra effort or language stress. At Photoclub, you’re part of a lively, multilingual photography community that values and nurtures your creativity. Upload your images, comment globally, and enjoy the new freedom that the international Photoclub offers. Your photo deserves the big stage! Photo Statistics in Profile
Sometimes it’s the little things that make the whole picture perfect – like having the right photo stats on your profile. Now it’s here, fresh and clear, showing you at a glance how many photos you’ve shared in the Photoclub. Honestly, we’re wondering why we didn’t add this sooner. Because what’s photography without keeping track of your own collection? This new feature makes your profile even more complete and transparent.   Why the stats matter so much Photography is all about capturing and sharing moments. The photo stats on your profile show exactly how many images you’ve published, giving you a little sense of achievement. It motivates you to keep going and make your photographic journey visible – no frills, just honest and straightforward. Much faster!
Sometimes, it’s the little things that make all the difference. Or as photographers like to say: “Sharpness doesn’t happen by chance.” That’s exactly why we’ve been working hard over the past few weeks to improve the loading speed on Photoclub. If you visit daily, you might only notice a slight boost here and there. But overall, load times have dropped significantly. Pages open faster, photos load more smoothly, and even with slower internet connections, the Photoclub now feels noticeably more enjoyable to use. That saves time, stress, and sometimes even a second cup of coffee while waiting.   Less Waiting, More Photography When it comes to viewing photos, first impressions matter. No one wants to stare at spinning loading icons between shots like they’re watching a gloomy weather forecast. Thanks to these technical improvements, you can discover images faster, write comments more comfortably, and browse galleries with ease. Members with slower connections benefit especially. The Photoclub is meant to feel calm and welcoming—not rushed, not cluttered—but a place where photography takes center stage.   Technology Behind the Scenes, Benefits in Everyday Use Many of these optimizations aren’t immediately visible—and that’s often a good sign. I’ll spare you the technical details of what it took to get this fast. What matters is the result. Step by step, the Photoclub continues to evolve, always focused on making everyday life better for its members.   Let’s Get Started If you’re an active Photoclub user, you’re helping shape its future—with your photos, your impressions, and your perspective. That’s how many improvements come to life. Upload new shots, discover other photographers, and become part of a club that clearly evolves according to its members’ needs. Because in the end, it’s not just the technology that makes the difference—it’s the people behind the images.Photoclub – so great photos don’t have to wait.

Last Chance: Lock in €38 Permanently
A great photo rarely happens by chance—and neither does a strong photo club. At Photoclub, we’re continuously evolving our photography platform step by step, so you don’t just upload your photos, but make them truly visible, receive honest feedback, and find fresh inspiration. To keep advancing in technology, security, presentation, and growth, the Premium membership fee will increase from €38 to €79 per year starting in April. The good news: if you upgrade to Premium now, you lock in the €38 rate permanently. In other words: better to press the shutter today than face a higher price tomorrow.   Why €38 no longer fits the picture The new price might feel like a strong exposure adjustment at first. But looking at it realistically, it’s simply necessary: currently, acquiring 100 new visitors costs us about €40 in advertising. On average, this results in 10 new members and 1 Premium member. At the old price, that brings in around €35—less than what’s needed just to sustain growth. With the new €79 rate, revenue rises to about €70, finally creating room for Photoclub to grow into a truly large platform. Those who become Premium members now keep the €38 rate forever, securing not only the old price but also supporting greater reach, more new members, and thus more attention for their own photos.   More than just a click behind every upload Photoclub isn’t just about beautiful photos and an upload button. Behind the scenes, there’s ongoing development, system operations, accounting, servers, security, licenses, payment processing, legal protection, as well as support and moderation. Monthly costs currently run around €10,600, which adds up to about €127,200 annually—conservatively estimated. This isn’t a luxury; it’s the foundation for what you experience daily: a modern, stable, and user-friendly platform where your images reliably stay visible. In comparison, a yearly membership at €38 covers only a fraction of this. To cover the basics alone, we’d need roughly 3,348 Premium members. At €79, that number drops to about 1,610—and that doesn’t even include advertising costs to attract new members.   What’s in it for you beyond a good feeling For you, this means more visibility for your photos, more feedback, fresh perspectives, and a photographic community that continues to evolve based on your needs. Since the takeover, many technical improvements have been made—faster, clearer, more stable. Today, Photoclub is the most advanced photography community on the market. We want to keep this momentum going so that showcasing, sharing, and discovering new work on Photoclub becomes even more enjoyable. What’s still needed are more members. More active members mean more genuine engagement instead of silent uploads into the void. Premium is therefore not just a subscription—it’s a contribution to a place where photography isn’t just stored but truly experienced.   Lock in the old price now If you want to secure the €38 rate permanently, now is the time. By going Premium, you support Photoclub’s ongoing development while investing in your own photographic environment: more visibility, better interaction, more inspiration, and a platform that keeps moving forward instead of standing still. Join us and help turn great photos into great conversations, new connections, and fresh ideas. Lights on, photo uploaded, perspective expanded—we look forward to welcoming you at Photoclub.

Notification Sound
You might have already noticed: there’s now a notification sound. It’s important that new alerts don’t get missed. But it shouldn’t interrupt you when you’re focused on viewing photos or calmly browsing through the Photoclub. That’s why the sound is intentionally subtle—no annoying beeps or intrusive alarms, just a gentle little ping to let you know there’s something new for you. Why we added the sound now Many of us know the feeling: you upload a photo, read comments, or are deep in thought about your next crop—and a notification can easily go unnoticed. The new sound helps you catch these alerts more reliably without disturbing your peace. This way, Photoclub remains a relaxed place where you enjoy spending time and never miss anything important. Photography requires focus, not distractions Of course, it’s all about what feels right for you. If you prefer to work in complete silence, you can easily turn off the sound anytime. After all, photography thrives on focus—not distractions. The easiest way to mute sounds temporarily is directly in your browser tab: right-click the tab → “Mute site.” Alternatively, you can mute the site permanently in your browser’s site settings. Thanks to the community I hope this small detail makes your time in Photoclub a little more enjoyable. Thank you for taking the time to be here, share your photos, and bring the club to life—it's exactly this that helps Photoclub.io grow step by step.

Member card improved
The member map is back—faster, smarter, more attractive, and much easier to use. It’s been revamped not only technically but also visually and functionally to perfectly match the Photoclub style. Fresh Design in Photoclub Style The bright blue-and-white look is a thing of the past. The member map now features a calm, harmonious Photoclub design that blends seamlessly with the platform’s overall aesthetic. Avatars Instead of Anonymous Markers Instead of traditional markers, members’ avatars are now displayed directly on the map. This way, you can instantly see who is where—making it more personal and easier to navigate. Interact Directly on the Map Clicking on an avatar or hovering over a name opens the member’s new mini-profile. You can send friend requests, follow, ignore, or message them right from there—no need to visit their full profile. Better Overview with Many Members When many members are in the same location, they’re smartly grouped together. Zooming in automatically breaks these groups apart, keeping the map clear and easy to understand at all times. Optimized for Mobile Devices The member map has been fully optimized for smartphones and tablets. All features are now conveniently accessible on mobile devices without any limitations.

Comments improved
Some of you have pointed out that comments have recently been a bit hard to read. Paragraph breaks, blank lines, and extra spacing were removed, making everything appear as one continuous block of text on a single line. Many found this restrictive—and I completely understand why. The original reason for this was to protect against so-called whitespace spamming. This refers to content that is intentionally or unintentionally filled with excessive blank lines, spaces, line breaks, or gaps. Such formatting can artificially lengthen comments, push other content out of view, and disrupt the overall clarity. In some cases, it even affects the readability of entire pages. In short: too much empty space can do more harm than good. At the same time, it’s important to us that you can organize your thoughts clearly. Good comments thrive on clarity, not on cramped text. That’s why we’ve made improvements here as well. From now on, you can once again structure your comments into meaningful paragraphs. Modern, finely tuned algorithms now detect double or excessive line breaks and automatically reduce them to a healthy amount. Multiple consecutive spaces are also recognized and trimmed down to a single space. We’ve also taken typical cases on mobile devices into account. For example, if someone starts a new line after nearly every third word—often unintentionally, simply because the small screen tricks the eye—this will be detected and gently corrected. The text remains readable without anyone being penalized. Long comments will initially be shown in a shortened form to avoid overwhelming the overall view. The maximum number of comments and replies displayed initially has also been limited. This means, for example, that a very long comment or many comments on a single photo won’t push the next image out of the visible screen area on the homepage. Additionally, there are other background mechanisms now reliably preventing whitespace spamming. All of this with one clear goal: to give you more freedom to structure your comments in a clear and pleasant way. Thank you for your feedback and your patience. It’s exactly this kind of input that helps us improve Photoclub step by step—for everyone who wants to share their photos and thoughts with us.

Folder improved
Rethinking folders – more freedom, less hassle. From now on, folders in the Photoclub are exactly what they should be: a simple organizational tool for your profile. No technical detours, no mandatory fields, no restrictions. The entire folder system has been revamped to give you greater control over how your photos are displayed, while making the system behind the scenes much smarter. Folders are just for organization You can now organize your photos into as many custom folders as you like within your profile. Folders no longer affect categories or visibility; they simply help you create order, structure, and thematic connections within your profile. Dedicated folder tab in your profile There’s now a separate "Folders" tab in your profile. This clearly displays a member’s photo folders, keeping them distinct from the rest of the profile content. Visitors can immediately see how your portfolio is organized. Categories assigned automatically per photo When creating a folder, you no longer need to assign a public category for the photos inside to appear in the gallery. Instead, categories are automatically assigned to each photo. This means all your photos now automatically appear in the public categories without any extra effort on your part. 16+ and 18+ content Explicit content already in your profile folders will now be hidden there as well. Newly uploaded 16+ photos will automatically be published in the 16+ galleries. The system handles categorization and initial hiding of sensitive images automatically. It is no longer possible to bypass the 16+ or 18+ galleries by uploading or moving photos into profile folders. No more tags needed Tags are no longer required when creating folders. Content is found through folder and photo titles and descriptions, improving discoverability while reducing maintenance effort. Sorting and custom display Within a folder, you can now sort your photos by various criteria and freely arrange them using drag & drop. This lets you decide the order your photos appear in the folder and which image is shown as the folder cover in the overview. For example, you can upload a special cover graphic for your photo folder and use it as the folder cover. Current status and outlook At the moment, moving photos into, out of, or between folders after the fact is not yet possible. This feature is planned and will be added in a future update. However, even then, it won’t be possible to move 16+ photos into publicly accessible folders. Many thanks to all Premium members who make these structural improvements possible. If you like these enhancements, supporting the Photoclub with a Premium membership helps us continue to develop and improve the platform.

Tags are now redundant
Tag features are being phased out gradually. Tags are no longer required for daily topics, photo uploads, or folder creation. This isn’t a step backward, but a deliberate move toward a more natural way of handling content. Why we’re making this change Dropping tags is a conscious evolution. Tags used to be necessary because the software couldn’t truly understand content. Today’s advanced systems can interpret content in natural language and categorize it accordingly. This makes artificial constructs like tags unnecessary. Tags were a technical workaround Tags originated at a time when images and text couldn’t be analyzed. Single keywords were meant to provide a summary description. In practice, this often led to frustration: inconsistent spellings, synonyms, ambiguities, or unclear terms meant relevant photos weren’t found despite tagging, creating a chaotic experience. Additionally, irrelevant tags could distort the context of content, leading to irrelevant search results and user frustration. Titles and descriptions tell a better story The image itself, along with a meaningful title and a brief description, provide context, mood, and the true content of a photo. Modern search and filtering systems analyze images and full texts, recognize connections, and understand content far more reliably than a loose collection of keywords. Contextually linked information conveys more—and more accurate—details than isolated keywords ever could. Less effort, more benefit Tagging took time and added extra work during uploads. Eliminating tags means faster uploads, better discoverability through AI-driven analysis, and no reliance on random or incomplete inputs. This frees you up to focus on what really matters: photography. How people actually think People think and speak in sentences, not keyword lists. That’s exactly how Photoclub is designed. You describe your photo just as you would tell another photographer—naturally. The system handles the technical analysis behind the scenes. Putting the focus back on the images Without technical busywork, your photography takes center stage again. Show your images, view others’, and engage in discussions—without endless forms and extra fields. Dropping tags is part of a long-term vision to capture content intuitively and make it reliably discoverable. Sometimes, less really is more.

Major Update
What you see is often just the tip of the iceberg. For an entire year, the Photoclub team worked intensively on a complete software rebuild. Quietly, focused, and forward-looking. The result: a modern, stable foundation that ensures the Photoclub’s long-term viability and creates space for all the visible improvements you can now explore.   A Foundation That Supports The entire system was redeveloped from the ground up. Modern technologies and up-to-date frameworks have replaced outdated structures. For the Photoclub, this means stability, security, and future-readiness. Just like in great photography, it’s the foundation that counts—not quick effects.   Lots of Work, Little Noise Most of this work isn’t immediately visible to you. Old and new system components were incompatible, so everything had to be rebuilt from scratch. Changes couldn’t just happen “on the side.” The many new features you see today are the result of this long, quiet groundwork.   Ready for What’s Next With this new technical foundation, further developments can now be implemented cleanly, faster, and more sustainably. The updates you see now are just a small part of what this foundation makes possible. Growth and security—that was the goal.   Stay Curious Take a look around, try out new things, and get involved. From now on, the Photoclub stands on a foundation built to last—and it will continue to grow with the ideas and vision of its members. Strong behind the scenes. Clear in vision. A future for your photography.

Improved emojis
The use of emojis has been deliberately expanded in the Photoclub to make posts more lively, clear, and expressive. Full Icon Set Instead of Limited Emoji Selection Instead of a small, restricted emoji list, the editor now offers the complete Unicode Consortium icon set. All symbols can be easily selected through a dedicated menu and inserted directly into texts without needing to know the codes. Enhanced Editor Integration The icons are fully integrated into the editor and quickly accessible. This allows comments, descriptions, and news to be structured purposefully, highlighted, and communicated more clearly. Status in Plain Text Fields Currently, the icon menu is not yet available in plain text fields—but this feature is planned. Until then, icons can still be used there as usual by entering the codes.

Screen adjustment improved
Great photography deserves the perfect setting—whether you’re on the go or viewing on a large screen. That’s why we’ve significantly improved the display on both very small and very large screens. From smartphones to expansive 3K displays, everything adjusts seamlessly. Clear, calm, and thoughtfully designed. The Photoclub now works like an app on mobile devices and simultaneously showcases photos on big screens exactly as they’re meant to be seen. Whether you’re browsing on your small phone while out and about or enjoying photos leisurely on your large monitor—the Photoclub automatically adapts to your viewing experience.   Just as comfortable on the go On your phone, the Photoclub now feels noticeably smoother and more intuitive. Controls are where you expect them, images appear tidy, and text remains easy to read. Perfect for quick visits, commenting from the couch, or quickly discovering new photos.   Big images need room to breathe We’ve also fine-tuned the experience on large screens. Up to 3K resolution, the Photoclub is now perfectly optimized to make smart use of the available space. Thumbnails are larger and have plenty of breathing room, galleries feel calmer, and details can be appreciated even without zooming in. This is exactly what you want when you’re not just looking at photos but truly taking them in.   And there’s more to come Optimization for 4K screens is already underway. The Photoclub evolves technically—step by step, always with real-world use in mind. Small or large: the goal remains the same. Photography should be a pleasant, calm, and high-quality experience.   Give it a try Open the Photoclub on your phone, tablet, large monitor, or massive Android TV and experience the difference. You’ll feel how everything adapts to your view—flexible, modern, and ready for your photos. Every size matters. What counts is you and the image.

Icons improved
Photoclub has now been visually refined in many areas. A noticeable part of this update is the introduction of new icons, strategically placed to guide users and make content easier to grasp at a glance. Greater Clarity with New Icons Additional Font Awesome icons are now being used throughout the interface. They enhance navigation, make functions more immediately recognizable, and contribute to a calmer, more organized overall appearance. Especially in information-dense areas, these new icons help users quickly understand content without adding extra text or requiring more clicks. Why Icons Aren’t a Given Modern, high-quality icon sets are not free. To ensure Photoclub uses contemporary and consistent symbols, licensed Font Awesome icons are employed. This is a detail that often goes unnoticed but significantly enhances the user experience. Thanks to Our Premium Members This enhancement is made possible because Premium Members actively support Photoclub. Their contributions directly fund such services that continuously improve design, clarity, and usability. Looking Ahead The new icons are part of an ongoing overhaul of the Photoclub software. Step by step, Photoclub is becoming clearer, more modern, and more enjoyable to use—with a focus on what matters most: photography and community. If you notice and appreciate these improvements, a Premium Membership helps make future enhancements like this possible.

Advent Calendar Enhanced
December at the Photoclub feels a little warmer this year. Our Advent calendar brings you a new surprise every day—subtle, charming, and crafted with love for the details. Add to that cozy Christmas music, gently falling snow, and candlelight flickering just the way you hope when admiring great photos. Once again, the Photoclub shows that it’s not about volume, but atmosphere. About inspiration. And those small moments that make your photographic eye calmer and more attentive. If you’re looking for an online Advent calendar with Christmas radio for photographers or photography with a festive vibe, you’ve found the perfect place.   Three Radio Stations, Three Moods New at the Photoclub: Instead of just one Christmas station, there are now three. From classic and contemplative to modern and cheerful, there’s something for every mood. You choose what fits your vibe—whether you’re browsing images, editing, or simply relaxing. Music can help you slow down, and that’s exactly what benefits your photographic perspective.   Snow and Candles—As Much Calm as You Want Snow falls, candles flicker—and you can turn both on or off with just one click. Completely up to your taste. Some like it playful, others prefer it minimal. At the Photoclub, you decide. This freedom isn’t an accident; it reflects a platform designed around your preferences—not the other way around.   A New Door Every Day, A New Moment Every Day The Advent calendar invites you to pause briefly each day. Each door can only be opened on its designated day. No catching up, no pressure. A gentle nudge to visit regularly, discover new images, and find inspiration. This very regularity also sharpens your photographic vision.   Make Yourself Comfortable at the Photoclub Drop by daily, open your door, pick your favorite station, and soak in the atmosphere. The more active you are in the Photoclub, the more you’ll discover—both in others’ photos and your own. Your participation brings the Photoclub to life and helps shape it further to suit your needs. One click, one image, one moment—experience Christmas mindfully at the Photoclub.

Portfolio updated
A great portfolio is more than just a collection of images. It tells a story of growth, perspective, and your unique vision. That’s why the portfolio section in your Photoclub profile has been completely redesigned and modernized. New design elements, a clear structure, and smart display features now adapt to your photographic journey. The more photos you share, the richer and more dynamic your portfolio becomes—automatically and without any extra effort.   Your Portfolio Grows With You Up to 19 photos are neatly displayed in the “New Photos” section. Once you reach 20 images, the layout becomes more varied: new photos are shown more compactly, and random photos are added. At 40 images, popular photos that resonate most with viewers are highlighted. This creates a lively impression that brings your style to life—even for visitors seeing your profile for the first time.   More Depth as Your Collection Grows As your portfolio expands, new sections open up: SmallTalk photos, Request-for-Critique photos, and at 80 images, a personalized selection you curate yourself. Once you hit 100 photos, your folders become visible. Your profile transforms into a true showcase of your photography—calm, organized, and personal.   Easy Uploads, Right Where They Belong As a profile owner, you can upload photos directly into their respective sections—simply by clicking on the placeholders. No detours, no sorting afterward. This saves time and makes managing your portfolio a breeze.   Bring Your Portfolio to Life Take a look at your profile and explore the new structure. Add photos, select your favorites, and showcase what matters most to you. A well-maintained portfolio attracts attention, feedback, and interaction—and that’s exactly how growth happens in the Photoclub. Your Vision. Your Selection. Your Portfolio in Photoclub.

Nudity and Eroticism Enhanced
Photography can move you, provoke you, and sometimes even challenge you. But you should always have the choice about which images you want to see—and which you don’t. That’s exactly why Photoclub now offers a clearly structured and finely tuned solution for nudity and erotic content. The new 16+ and 18+ zones ensure that you only see what you truly want to see. No surprises. No uncomfortable moments—just complete control.   Clear Zones, Clear Choices Nudity and erotic content are now neatly separated: there’s a 16+ zone, with a dedicated 18+ zone inside it. If you prefer not to view certain content, simply don’t click on it. This way, your journey through Photoclub stays exactly how you want it. This clarity builds trust—while still giving sensitive photographic themes the freedom they deserve.   Four Levels for a Mindful Viewing Experience Images in the 16+ and 18+ zones are initially blurred. First, you’ll see a red velvet curtain with a label indicating which zone the image belongs to. The first click reveals the image slightly blurred, the second click brings it into full clarity, and the third opens the full-size view in a Lightbox. You approach each image step by step. This not only suits sensitive subjects but also encourages a more thoughtful way to engage with photography.   You Set the Rules In the control center, you can disable the multi-step unlocking for 16+ and 18+ zones separately, if you wish. If you navigate directly into one of these zones, images there will automatically be shown openly. Those who choose consciously get immediate visibility; those who prefer to stay cautious retain full control. This is what freedom feels like at Photoclub.   Make Up Your Own Mind Try out the new zones and discover what feels right for you. The more active you are in Photoclub, the better it adapts to your perspective. Your usage, your choices, and your feedback help shape Photoclub into a more sensitive and respectful space. Photoclub is evolving—mindfully, thoughtfully, and always with your comfort in mind.

Improved wishes
Great ideas need a place where they can grow. That’s exactly why the Photoclub now has new wishlists. The former “Ideas” section hasn’t just been renamed—it’s been completely reimagined and redesigned. Clearer, more structured, and much more dynamic. Here, what matters to you becomes visible—and you can see how real change can happen step by step. The Photoclub is evolving from within, driven by the thoughts of its members.   Two Lists, One Purpose The wishlists are divided into competition wishes and improvement wishes, so it’s immediately clear what each is about. In the list view, you can see at a glance how many comments an idea has, inviting you to join the conversation. The creator of each idea is now prominently highlighted—with a large, linked avatar. Ideas finally have a face.   Discuss, Vote, Understand Every idea now has its own detailed page where you can discuss, exchange arguments, and see which members have already voted. Everyone can propose ideas and everyone can vote. The idea with the most votes will be implemented next. Ideas that aren’t chosen don’t disappear—they stay in the running. It doesn’t get much fairer than that.   Improving with Care The improvement wishes focus on the Photoclub itself. What’s bothering you? What’s missing? What could be better? While more votes increase the chances of implementation, they’re not the only factor. Planning and resources also play a role. Frequently requested ideas get priority review and are often implemented faster. You can find already realized wishes in the “What’s New” section, plus there’s a forum for help, praise, and constructive ideas.   Share Your Idea Check out the wishlists, comment, vote, or create your own idea. Those who contribute help shape the community. And that’s exactly how the Photoclub grows—not standing still, but evolving together in a clear and collaborative way. Share ideas. Have your say. Shape the Photoclub.

Friends and Followers improved
Photography thrives on connections. On people whose images you recognize, whose perspective you value, and whose interactions inspire you. That’s exactly why the Friends and Followers sections in the Photoclub have been significantly improved. They’re now easier to access, more clearly organized, and visually harmonized. Relationships in the Photoclub aren’t just there—they’re visible, tangible, and thoughtfully arranged.   Right Where You’re Looking Friends and Followers are now directly linked in the navigation. You’ll also find both sections linked in your profile statistics. Plus, within your Community tab on your profile, the Friends and Followers sections are clearly displayed. No more detours through notifications, no more searching. One click is all it takes to get exactly where the conversation begins.   Clarity Through Organization Both views are now neatly organized into tabs. In Friends, you can instantly see your current contacts, your outgoing requests, and requests sent to you. In Followers, there’s a clear distinction between who you follow and who follows you. This structure makes relationships easy to understand—and decisions easier to make.   Consistent, Familiar, Cohesive The design and layout of Friends and Followers now match the member lists exactly. This not only looks cleaner but feels familiar. You immediately see how everything fits together. This consistency makes the Photoclub a pleasant place—especially when you visit often and stay longer.   See Who’s Along for the Journey Open your Friends and Followers views and discover who’s sharing your photographic path. Meaningful exchanges happen where people can quickly find each other. That’s exactly what these improvements are designed for. See your connections. Deepen your conversations. Experience photography together.

Farewell and New Beginnings – Starting a New Chapter in the Photoclub
In Memory of Toni – and Trusting in You: Some moments in life are more than just moments. They become milestones. After a serious car accident and a long time in a coma, Toni has left us. What remains is more than just a memory – it’s a legacy. Toni’s passing marks a turning point – for his family, friends, and everyone who found a digital home in the Photoclub. Toni was more than just an administrator. He was the heart and the enabler behind the scenes, never seeking the spotlight – yet always creating the space for your moments to shine. A place where beginners and professionals alike felt welcome. Now, that space has grown quieter. But it is not empty. Toni – The Heart and Hands of a Special Place Toni believed in the power of images – but even more in the power of the people behind them. His vision was clear: technology is a tool, but people are what matter most. Toni built a club where respect mattered more than prestige, and kindness counted more than expertise. And that’s why his impact reaches far beyond his passing. What remains is the memory and his legacy. A Brother Steps Up – Not Out of Duty, But Out of Love My name is Stefan, Toni’s brother. Many of you may only know me indirectly – as a behind-the-scenes developer, someone who occasionally got things running without being seen. But now I’m stepping forward. Not because I have to, but because I want to. Because I know what this club meant to Toni. And because I believe that together, we can preserve something that’s becoming rarer than ever: a space for genuine community in the digital age. New Challenges – New Responsibilities What Toni quietly managed is now clear: running this club takes not only time but money. For years, Toni quietly and modestly covered many of these costs out of his own pocket, without fanfare. To ensure the Photoclub can continue to exist and grow, we need to rethink this financial aspect. It’s very likely that fees for new premium memberships will need to increase significantly. Existing premium memberships will, of course, remain unchanged – as a token of our gratitude for your loyalty and trust. Technological Change – And a Look Ahead But this doesn’t just mean paying more – it means getting more in return. We’re already working on new features, improved processes, and exclusive content that will not only maintain the club but significantly enhance it. Stay tuned – something big is coming! Together with Mik, the club’s longtime developer and trusted partner, we’ve been intensively working for months on a comprehensive modernization of the club’s software. Not to change everything, but to make it simpler, faster, safer, and future-proof. Please understand that reorganizing the Photoclub will take some time. This may temporarily affect functionality, moderation, and support. But all of this is part of a clear vision: the Photoclub is not just here to stay – it aims to become the #1 of its kind! The True Heart of the Club Beyond all the technology and organization, the real wealth of the club lies in its members. In your photos, your comments, your stories. In the small gestures of appreciation, honest feedback, the courage to share your first image – and the pride when it’s seen. It’s this lived culture of togetherness that Toni created. And that we can now carry forward together. A Call to Shape the Future The Photoclub has never been a rigid system, but a living community. Now it’s time to reactivate that community. We want to build long-term structures that work democratically – with elected teams, clear roles, and open communication – just as Toni wanted. But to do that, we need you. Your ideas. Your willingness to get involved. Your trust in something bigger than the sum of its parts. From Grief Grows Responsibility – and Hope Farewell to Toni is painful. But it’s not the end. It’s the beginning of a new chapter – written by people who believe in what Toni lived by: that community online is possible. That people can treat each other with respect online. That an online forum can be more than just data – it can be a home. For Toni – and What Lies Ahead The Photoclub is Toni’s legacy. But more than that: it’s a promise to the future. We are all part of this story. Let’s keep writing it – with respect, joy, and courage. For what was. For what remains. For what’s to come.In memory of Toni.In solidarity – Stefan

Bigger, clearer, and much more personal. With a larger avatar and more space for your profile picture, a streamlined layout, and meaningful statistics, your photographic journey is now more visible than ever before.   More room for your face and your style Your profile picture and avatar are now significantly larger. Profile Progress Visualized
A profile shines brightest when it’s complete. That’s why the Photoclub now features a new, visual progress tracker for your profile. Subtle, encouraging, and completely pressure-free. Your presence in the Photoclub grows with you, step by step.   A Quick Look Says It All Instead of long lists, the new graphic clearly and simply shows how complete your profile is. Just like in photography, visualization helps you see the next step.   More Profile, More Impact A complete profile makes you more approachable to other members. Messages improved
Good communication should be clear, intuitive, and free from complicated technology getting in the way. That’s exactly why we’ve redesigned the messaging system in the Photoclub. It now works like a classic email program—familiar, organized, and instantly easy to use. Write, read, organize, find. No detours. No searching.   Write as usual—no hassle, no delay You can now create new messages directly within the messaging module. No more detours through a member’s profile. Just start typing the recipient’s name in the “To” field, and you’ll get suggestions right away. This saves time and lowers the barrier to starting a conversation. Especially when sharing photos, this is invaluable.   Your organization, your way Create your own folders and organize messages however it makes sense to you. “Friends,” “Archive,” “Reply later”—or any other categories you prefer. This way, important conversations stay within reach and don’t get lost. Structure brings clarity. And clarity brings peace of mind.   More than just text From now on, you can also send photos and videos via messages. Plus, drafts can be saved, copied, or used as templates. Perfect if you often send similar feedback or want to take your time crafting your messages. Communication in the Photoclub becomes more relaxed, personal, and closer to what really matters: the images.   Give it a try Open your messaging module, start writing, and set up your folders. The more you engage in conversations, the more vibrant the Photoclub becomes for you. Conversations deepen your perspective, feedback sparks new ideas—and good communication turns images into real connections. Share words. Show images. Create connections.

Photo Contests Improved
A great photo contest inspires, sharpens your eye, and sparks conversations about images. That’s exactly why we’ve revamped the photo contests at Photoclub. They’re now clearer, more engaging, and better aligned with how photographers actually work. Participation is more flexible, presentation is higher quality, and visibility is intentionally boosted at the end of each month. It’s not about pressure—it’s about the joy of photography.   Join in whenever your photo is ready At the bottom of the detailed view, you’ll find the “Photo Contests” button where you can submit your image directly. Of course, you can still upload a new photo specifically for the contest. This approach takes the pressure off and gives your image the spotlight exactly when it feels right to you.   More attention at the right time The contest sections on the homepage automatically move higher up as the month comes to a close. This highlights what’s currently happening and where a second look is worthwhile. Voting, promotion, and award ceremonies have also been redesigned—clear, calm, and focused on the photography and the photographers.   Greater recognition Instead of showing only the top three winners, the next six placements are now visible as well. This acknowledges photographic quality more broadly and reveals emerging trends. This is especially valuable for many photographers: seeing that their work is noticed—even if it’s not at the very top.   Get involved and showcase your photo Take a look at the current photo contests and submit a photo. Participating brings visibility, honest feedback, and fresh inspiration for your own style. Every entry energizes the Photoclub—calmly, fairly, and with respect for the image. Submit a photo. Make a statement. Share photography.

Forum improved
Great conversations need a place where people enjoy spending time. That’s exactly why the Photoclub forum has been thoroughly revamped. A clearer layout, fewer clicks, and a noticeably calmer experience when reading and writing. Content is easier to grasp, discussions are easier to follow, and everything fits seamlessly into the Photoclub. If you’re looking to connect over photography, it’s now even easier to get started—without technical hurdles and with plenty of joy in participating.   Fewer clicks, better understanding The forum has been streamlined and reorganized with purpose. Topics are quicker to scan, posts are arranged more clearly, and navigation feels much more intuitive. This frees your mind to focus on the content—not on how to use the site. Especially for photography discussions, this is a real win.   Fast loading, easy reading Under the hood, a lot has changed too. Load times have been optimized to deliver lightning-fast page loads. The forum responds instantly, feels lighter, and invites you to drop by more often—even if just for a quick exchange of ideas.   Starting topics made simple You can now create a new topic easily via a central button with an integrated forum search. Of course, you can still browse the forum as usual and add a topic where it fits best. Either way, the rule is: first check if the topic already exists—then start your own. This keeps discussions focused and makes the exchange more enjoyable for everyone.   Join in and get involved Check out the forum, start a topic, or jump into a discussion. Questions, experiences, and thoughts about photography all have a place here. The more active you are, the richer your Photoclub experience becomes. Share your thoughts. Deepen your photography. Think forward together.
