New Year's Eve

Where are you celebrating New Year's Eve?
As a dog owner in my later years, I naturally stay home on New Year's Eve and do my best to keep my dogs calm. So, I'll be at the Photoclub as well.
How do you usually spend New Year's Eve? Do you go out? Do you set off fireworks?

That sounds great: at a mature age – but when exactly is that?
We haven’t done fireworks for years (because of our dog).
We play darts with four people in the hobby room.
At midnight, we head up to the attic to watch the fireworks over Dresden.
Since our house is on the outskirts, we look down into the valley and have an amazing view.

@Andreas Bibas
It's hard to say when exactly someone is considered "of a certain age." It's probably more of an individual thing... like when you start to feel more calm 1f31d
It's great that you're also there for your dog 1f44d

We're both coming down with a cold, so I guess my better half and I will be watching *Dinner for One* in bed—unless we fall asleep before then 😉

Since my wife is still bedridden with a severe flu, we're staying home and taking it easy.

We're keeping up our tradition: a good dinner at home with friends (and their dog, who prefers our rural setting over the city—there's less shooting around here... or should I say, fewer empty heads exploding?).
Wishing everyone a safe and happy transition!

Dear members,
A new year lies ahead of us. Nothing is set in stone yet, everything is still possible, there’s still so much of the year left, and everything is just beginning. That’s what makes this first day of the year so special.

Maybe last year wasn’t perfect, but when is it ever? That’s life and what makes it what it is — chaotic and finite. It’s from this that the desire arises to do better and, above all, more mindfully in the future.
For the new year, I wish you above all good health and happiness, joy in the little things, patience with yourselves, and the courage to try new paths now and then. Simply for the love of life.
I also want to sincerely thank you. For your photos. For your time. For your comments, honest feedback, and respectful interactions with one another. Thank you for being part of the Photoclub. It’s wonderful to have you here. Here’s to many great moments, meaningful conversations, and beautiful images.
