He...the bearded vulture....here a fully grown specimen, which only becomes sexually mature at about 5-7 years and looks like this at about 7 years, is one of the largest in the sky, with his 2.50-2.80m wingspan he is simply breathtaking.
You can see him from afar. When he then glides past or above you. It is hardly describable.
When we arrived, we threw the luggage straight onto the room and went out because not only he flew, but also the ptarmigans were in the area and you had to use that. Because we did not know if he would be there tomorrow and so it was, because the next day only a two-year-old came by briefly and that was it. Only on the following day did a fully grown one, a two-year-old, an about 5-7 year old come again and again, all these pictures I will still show, many beautiful moments.
Because what is more beautiful than sitting a little further up the slope in the middle of the beautiful mountain landscape, at his flight altitude, for the perspective, as I saw the day before, enjoying the sun, having a good snack with you and now and then the bearded vulture visiting... oh wonderful I tell you...

1/1600 sec / aperture 10 / ISO 1000 / focal length 700mmEr...der Bartgeier....hir ein ausgewachsenes Exemplar, das erst ab ca. 5-7 Jahren geschlechtsreif ist und so mit ca.7 Jahren aussieht, ist einer der grössten am Himmel, mit seinen 2.50-2.80m Flügelspannweite ist er einfach Atemberaubend.
Schon von weitem sieht man ihn. Wenn er dann an einem dran vorbei oder darüber gleitet. Ist das kaum zu beschreiben.
Als wir ankamen, schmissen wir das Gepäck gleich aufs Zimmer und gingen raus den nicht nur er flog, sondern auch die Schneehühner waren in der Gegend und das musste man ja nutzen. Denn wir wussten ja nicht, ob er morgen auch da ist und so war es dann auch, denn Tags darauf kam nur einmal ein zweijähriger kurz vorbei und das wars. Erst am darauffolgenden Tag kam er immer wider ein ausgewachsener, ein zweijähriger, ein ca. 5-7Jähriger all diese Bilder werde ich dann noch zeigen, viel wunderschöne Momente.
Denn was gibt es Schöneres inmitten der schönen Berglandschaft etwas weiter am Hang oben zu sitzen, auf seiner Flughöhe, für die Perspektive, wie ich Tags vorher sah, die Sonne geniessen, eine gute Vesper dabei und immer mal wieder der Bartgeier zu Besuch……..ach herrlich sage ich euch…
