The municipality of Gleichen turns off all streetlights from 11:30 PM – here is one of my favorite spots in Appenrode. The light from Göttingen is nicely shielded by the Gleichen hills themselves (here with Orion above), but with the moon. On the left is my tracking mount (heavily distorted by the wide-angle lens): actually a video tripod with a tilt mechanism; aligned to the North Star with a simple finder telescope clamped at a right angle – there’s a Syrp mini on it, and on top of that a ball head. For the tripod, I now like to use a very old, cheaply bought used Linhoff tripod, a handpicked hardware store angle bracket for the right angle, and two plastic pipe clamps from the hardware store as a holder for aligning to Polaris. With this, thanks to the lightweight MFT equipment, I can expose about 10-15 times longer (than WITHOUT tracking). I then set the Syrp mini via Bluetooth on my phone to, for example, 60° in 4 hours. The Syrp mini turntable is highly recommended for time-lapse.Die Gemeinde Gleichen macht ab 23:30h alle Strassenlaternen aus - hier eine meiner Lieblingsstellen in Appenrode - das Licht von Gö ist schön abgeschirmt durch die Gleichen selbst (hier mit Orion darüber), allerdings mit Mond. Links meine Nachführung (durch UWW Objektiv sehr verzerrt): Eigentlich ein Video-Stativ mit Neigevorrichtung; Ausrichtung auf den Polarstern mit einfachem Sucherteleskop an 2 Klemmen eingespannt auf rechtem Winkel - dort ein Syrp mini und darauf wiederum ein Kugelkopf. Als Stativ nehme ich jetzt gern ein uraltes sehr günstig gebraucht gekauftes Linhoff-Stativ, als rechten Winkel einen handverlesenen Baumarktwinkel und als Halterung für die Ausrichtung auf Polaris 2 Rohrklemmen aus Kunststoff - ebenfalls aus dem Baumarkt. Damit kann ich dank des leichten MFT Equipment ca. 10-15 mal länger belichten (als OHNE Nachführung). Den Syrp mini stelle ich dann über Bluetooth per Handy auf z.B. 60° in 4h. Der Syrp mini Drehteller ist sehr zu empfehlen für Zeitraffer.
