As you can see in the photo, there is a lot of wood debris that has fallen into the water from the trees along the riverbank. Unfortunately, there is also a significant amount of environmental waste that people thoughtlessly throw into the river.

Dam with Weir

Just before Heidelberg, there is a dam on the Neckar River that regulates the water level. Along the dam, a catchment barrier has been installed. This barrier's purpose is to capture debris drifting downstream in the water.

As you can see in the photo, there is a lot of wood debris that has fallen into the water from the trees along the riverbank. Unfortunately, there is also a significant amount of environmental waste that people thoughtlessly throw into the river.
