Der Gesichtsausdruck spricht für sich. Seine Schwester (rechte Seite) schaut etwas ungläubig auf ihren Bruder, während die andere Schwester sich lieber für die Zuschauer am Straßenrand interessiert.
Der Matheisemarkt in Schriesheim ist ein traditionelles Wein- und Frühlingsfest, das jährlich Anfang März (bis 10 Tage ) hunderttausende Besucher an die badischen Bergstraße bei Heidelberg lockt. Es gilt als das erste große Volksfest der Region mit Fahrgeschäften, Festzelten und Festumzug. Am Anfang führt die Weinkönigin und die beiden Prinzessinnen den Festzug an. Fahnenschwenker, Trompeter und Trommler folgen ihnen hinterher. Viele Weinbauern aus der Region fahren zudem zwischen den verschiedenen Fanfarenzügen mit ihren teilweise sehr alten Traktoren mit. Da der Wettergott uns gnädig war, blieb uns der Umzug und der anschließende Kirmesbesuch in guter Erinnerung.
