Walk in Matzen Castle Park
The castle is surrounded by a magnificent park, designed in the English style on behalf of Freiherr von Lipperheide. The park includes two artificial ponds: the Löwenteich and the Karpfenteich with the so-called Nympheum, and many of the over 40 exotic trees and shrubs date back to the time the park was created.

Spaziergang im Schloßpark Matzen
Umgeben ist das Schloss von einer herrlichen Parkanlage, die im Auftrag von Freiherr von Lipperheide nach englischem Vorbild gestaltet wurde. Der Park umfasst zwei künstlich angelegte Teiche: den Löwenteich und den Karpfenteich mit dem sogenannten Nympheum und viele der über 40 exotischen Bäume und Sträucher stammen noch aus der Entstehungszeit der Anlage.
