The deadly liquid brother kiss
The famous photo of the "socialist fraternal kiss" between Erich Honecker and Leonid Brezhnev was taken on October 5, 1979, by photographer Régis Bossu in East Berlin. It was created for the 30th anniversary of the GDR and symbolizes the close ideological bond of the socialist states. The motif later became world-famous as a mural by Dmitri Wrubel titled "My God, Help Me to Survive This Deadly Love" on the Berlin Wall.

Das berühmte Foto des „sozialistischen Bruderkusses“ zwischen Erich Honecker und Leonid Breschnew wurde am 5. Oktober 1979 vom Fotografen Régis Bossu in Ost-Berlin aufgenommen. Es entstand zum 30. Jahrestag der DDR und symbolisiert die enge ideologische Verbundenheit der sozialistischen Staaten. Das Motiv wurde später von Dmitri Wrubel als Wandbild „Mein Gott, hilf mir, diese tödliche Liebe zu überleben“ an der Berliner Mauer weltbekannt
