Shrove Tuesday at sunrise at St. Mark's Square. This was one of my most unforgettable shoots. The light was perfect, only a few photographers and especially no phone snapshooters were present. The atmosphere was absolutely magical! I get goosebumps again just thinking about that morning....

Light - Dark Soft - Hard Warm - Cold All these contrasts come together in this photo for me. I placed the feather on the frozen meadow and illuminated it from the left with an additional LED light.

Oberösterreichische Landschaft in der Spätnachmittäglichen Sonne im Nebelmeer.
Am 26.12.24 habe ich mit meiner Sony a6000 und dem Sony 70-350 von wolfsegg am Hausruck aus ins Alpenvorland fotografiert. Die Stimmung des wogenden Nebelmeeres und der goldenen Sonne ist unbeschreiblich.

Our neighbor's cat Keira is quite curious! I took advantage of that today and let her look on the table (with the help of small treats). It wasn't easy at all to keep the cat in check so she wouldn't jump on the table right away, while simultaneously operating the camera. I shot this with my Sony a6000, the Tamron 17-70 at 36mm, and two LED cubes that provided reasonably sufficient light from the front left and right. ISO800, f2.8 1/60sec

On the night of October 10th to 11th, 2024, it happened again! Aurora alert here in the deepest Bavaria. Unfortunately, it was heavily cloudy, and later it even started to rain, but I was still lucky enough to catch a few breaks in the clouds to experience the spectacle. Then, a moped drove through the frame on a little-used side road. While editing the series, this lucky shot became my favorite photo because the trees are beautifully lit indirectly by the moped. I’m not sure if it would have been even better if the light pullers hadn’t stopped just before the trees... but that’s how it is. Shot with my Sony a6000 and the Tamron 17-70 at 17mm, ISO 2000, f3.5, 6 sec.

A mushroom that is probably only a delicacy for animals. For us humans, however, it is a feast for the eyes. I now only collect mushrooms with my camera to stage them with light. Even the highly poisonous ones "taste" really good. I took the picture with my Sony a6000 and the Tamron 17-70 at 34mm, f5.6, ISO400, 1/60sec. An LED cube illuminates the scene from the left, and a mini flashlight that I stuck behind the mushroom into the moss gives the fungus a glow from below.

Das ist mein Lieblingsplatzerl in Waging am See. Eine kleine Bank gleich in der Nähe meiner Wohnung.
Eines Abends gabs einen genialen Sonnenuntergang und da in der Ferne ein Gewitter vorbeizog, gabs obendrein noch einen schönen Regenbogen.
Bis ich allerdings meine Ausrüstung geschnappt und die die 500 Meter zur Location gerannt bin, war der Regenbogen schon wieder fast verschwunden.
Zu allem Überfluss war auf der sonst wenig befahrenen Nebenstraße einiges los, so dass ich nur schwer einen perfekten Platz fürs Stativ gefunden habe. Erst auf dem PC habe ich gesehen, dass ich die Bank zu knapp beschnitten habe.... Dafür ist die Stimmung umso schöner.
