Perseids
I heavily cropped this image; the full frame shows the garden all around, which I found too distracting.
With this crop, the main focus is the "astronaut poop," as a user in a Facebook group aptly described it.' role="button">
On the night of August 11th to 12th, I pointed my Sony a6000 and the 7Artisans 7.5mm Fisheye (manual) towards the sky to capture some Perseid meteors. Out of 249 shots, almost nothing showed up... but this one feels like hitting the jackpot.
Photographer's luck? More like perseverance. I had already been shooting the night before with my Sigma 16mm, and out of 600 shots, only two were somewhat decent. So on the second night, I chose the Fisheye, which is a bit slower (f2.8) than the Sigma (f1.4) but covers almost the entire sky.
